Sanda Damian
Sanda Damian is a student from Chișinău, Moldova, with a deep passion for Romanian language and literature. Damian’s journey began when she participated in the Chișinău Reads municipal reading program, which led to her first published article: a book review in the newspaper Timpul. This experience led to her meeting the book’s author at a conference, sparking Damian’s growing interest in writing and literature. She has already made her mark in the world of literature and advocacy.
Damian’s literacy and personal growth continued with her involvement in a battle of books competition, where she earned the title of Erudite Reader 2024. This was followed by an invitation to the international book launch of The Last Princess of Dacia.
Beyond her passion for books, Damian is an advocate for people with disabilities. She first spoke publicly about disability rights during a summer camp with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where she was awarded for being the most active participant. Motivated by this experience, Damian pursued further opportunities for advocacy, engaging with various focus groups, webinars, and creative initiatives. Her involvement in these projects is driven by her desire to be a voice for minority groups in Moldova, including people with disabilities.
