Rhomir S. Yanquiling
Rhomir S. Yanquiling is a Philippines-based researcher, lawyer, and disability advocate committed to advancing social, environmental, and economic equity. For over a decade, his work has focused on amplifying the voices of marginalized communities—particularly Indigenous peoples and persons with disabilities—through research, legal advocacy, and community-based action. He leads the Persons With Disability Inclusion Network (Pangasinan), a volunteer-driven grassroots platform that supports persons with disabilities. His advocacy-oriented research has taken him across Asia and Europe for fellowships, policy dialogues, and conferences, contributing to international publications and policy conversations. He has been an Atlantic Fellow for Social and Economic Equity (LSE), a UNESCO–Keizo Obuchi Research Fellow, and a Climate Adaptation Finance Fellow. Grounded in close engagement with communities, his work bridges scholarship and practice to advance more inclusive, just, and equitable development. His work has been published across a range of peer-reviewed journals, including Journal of Historical Geography, Earth System Governance, and the International Journal of Disaster Risk Reduction.
