Ruzanna Ghazaryan is a disability rights advocate and emerging filmmaker from Armenia. As a hard-of-hearing activist, she has been engaged in disability rights work from a young age, striving to challenge stereotypes and promote inclusion. She is currently a student at the Armenian State Pedagogical University, studying social pedagogy, with the goal of reforming the education system to be more accessible and equitable.

Ghazaryan works at We Can NGO, an organization dedicated to supporting children and youth with intellectual disabilities and their families. She participates in multiple initiatives focused on disability rights, including mentoring in the Judy initiative, which supports young people with disabilities. She also serves as a social pedagogue, leading courses that foster socialization and skill-building for adolescents and young adults with disabilities.

Her latest endeavor involves using filmmaking as a tool for advocacy, providing people with disabilities the opportunity to share their stories and experiences. As a Judy Heumann Fellow, Ruzanna believes in the power of storytelling to drive social change, foster understanding, and put marginalized voices at the forefront. She is committed to building a society where people with disabilities are independent, yet fully included in education, employment, and community life.
