A Neurodivergent Perspective on Surviving Delhi’s Pollution and Heat
We’ve partnered with disabled filmmakers globally to document how climate change is impacting people with disabilities in their communities. “Climate Strain” was co-produced by Aditi Gangrade.
As Delhi grapples with some of the worst air pollution and extreme heat brought on by climate change, Pranav Sethi, a 34-year-old autistic man with ADHD, faces constant challenges. Navigating congested streets and hazardous air, he experiences sensory issues that intensify with shifting weather patterns, making everyday life physically and mentally draining. Through a combination of personal reflections and daily routines, Pranav’s story highlights the profound impact of climate-driven stress on neurodivergent individuals, showing the need for disability-inclusive climate policies and urban planning that take into account the sensory sensitivities of millions like him.
